Synaptic Aviation announces it has been selected by AFWERX for a SBIR Direct-to-Phase II contract focused on utilizing Synaptic Aviation’s AI technology to address the most pressing challenges of the Department of the Air Force (DAF).

Synaptic Aviation has been awarded a Direct-to-Phase II SBIR contract by AFWERX to develop AI-powered safety solutions for the U.S. Air Force. The project aims to contribute to innovation in aviation safety through machine learning and computer vision applications.

The audio AI solution designed to accurately determine when the auxiliary power unit (APU) of an aircraft is running, adding a critical layer of efficiency to ground operations, and resulting in cost savings, CO2 reductions, and decreased noise pollution.

Metron Aviation, a global leader in software solutions for Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) systems, will exhibit at the Airspace World 2024 show in Geneva, Switzerland.

International Airlines Group (IAG) and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) – via its xBridge innovation programme – have deployed Synaptic Aviation’s computer vision, opening up a wealth of new data. IAG and PIT are both Corporate Partners of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub.
